This product is designed to aid in systemic detoxification, usually based on the findings in hair analysis. It is rich in pectin and sodium alginate for the absorption of soluble toxins and heavy metals. Additionally, sodium alginate has been shown to interfere with the absorption of cesium, barium, and strontium – the notorious radioactive isotopes – without interfering with calcium absorption. Vitamin C, in the form of ascorbic acid, is included to remove divalent medications, and the sulfur-containing amino acids are present to remove mainly lead, cadmium and mercury. Three beneficial metals; magnesium, manganese, and iodine, are included to fortify the enzyme systems with which they are associated, since heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury etc.) may have replaced them during the period of intoxication.
